JW3 Brand founder James Washington III was born in St. Louis, Missouri. James was raised in the inner city of St. Louis by his parents James Washington Jr. and Wanda Washington. Although St. Louis is known to be one of the worlds most dangerous cities. James made it out of St. Louis by taking everything his parents and the city taught him and turned it into something.

Not only did James learn from his hometown city, Both of James parents joined the United States Army which led to his family moving all over the world, all before the age of 10 years old. James and his family lived in California, Texas, Georgia, and overseas in Germany. This experience along with his sister led him to see the world and meet so many different people at an early age. James graduated from the legendary Vashon High School. There James accomplished big tasks both in the classroom and on the basketball court. He graduated with a perfect 4.0 gpa, and helped lead his basketball team to 2 states championships. With one of the seasons being ranked number in the United States.

James went on to college on a academic/athletic scholarship to Middle Tennessee State University. From there he graduated in the field of Business Marketing with a minor in sports management. Again James achieved heights by earning all conference academic team in the classroom. And leading his team to a conference championship while leading his team in points, assists, steals, and minutes played.

After James college career he entered the NBA draft in 2011 but was not selected. He then signed a contract to play professionally in Europe where he currently still plays now. James has played 14 seasons in Europe in 7 different countries. Germany, France, Croatia, Poland, Belgium, Sweden and Romania.

The life on and off the basketball court has helped James create this brand. His life lessons, struggles, and adversity shaped him into who he is today. The basketball court has been a life changer for him throughout his entire life. But when competing on different courts all over the world, James brings the same hustle every time he competes.
